NCPWD BOSS CHAMPIONS HIGH-LEVEL POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS FOR THE ACTUALIZATION OF A RENEWED HOPE FOR NIGERIANS The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, Mr James David Lalu has called on the incoming administration to build on the founding legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari by taking a step further to appointing Persons With Disabilities in key government offices that will represent PWDs at the Federal Executive Council. Lalu made the clarion call while receiving a delegation of TAF Africa in his office today 27th April, 2023. The ES also recounted the tremendous efforts by the outgoing Plateau State Governor, Mr. Simon Lalung who appointed 23 Persons With Disabilities into his cabinet. He, therefore, re-echoed the affirmative action plan to give Persons With Disabilities the right visibility in government offices. "I want to assure you that the Commission will give maximum support to every innovation that will project the interest of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria" he underscored. In a quick response, the leader of the delegation, TAF Africa Mr. Jake Ekpelle seized the occasion to thank the ES for including OPDs in the political emancipation of Persons With Disabilities at every given time. He also used the platform to seek the Commission's nod on the bilateral committee to engage with media for adequate Publicity on the push for evident political participation of Persons With Disabilities in the nation. *Mbanefo JohnMichaels I**Head Press and Public Relations Unit, NCPWD**27th April, 2023.
